The enthusiastic supporters of Black Leopards have reason to grumble when their team donate league points, especially when one takes into account that the team have what it takes to collect the maximum points at home and away.

The team's chairman, Mr David Thidiela, said he was one of the thousands of people who could not understand why the team continued to lose matches, despite the fact that they had assembled a formidable squad. Of the nine league matches they had played to date, Lidoda Duvha managed to win only three, drew two and lost four. Two of the defeats they had suffered were in front of their home crowd. They lost 0-1 to Lamontville Golden Arrows and 0-3 to Thanda Royal Zulu at home, while their away defeats were against Royal Eagles (0-1)and Witbank Spurs (0-2).

They shared the spoils with Garankuwa United and Jomo Cosmos.

Last Wednesday's 0-3 home defeat at the hands of Thanda Royal Zulu dropped them from the fourth to the eighth position on the log.

A quick glance at the NFD League affiliates shows that Black Leopards signed the highest number of skilful players. Some of the Thohoyandou outfit's latest acquisitions include Morgan Shivambu, Shimi Radebe, Samuel Tefu, Valley Tshabangu, Ntokozo Mbhele, Phathutshedzo Nange, Thomas Sweswe, Nicodimus Mogagane, Jonathan Lance King, Glen Theletsane, Bongani Manana, Avhashoni Tshinuna and Mumuni Abubakar.

Black Leopards have registered four foreign players, Mumuni Abubakar (Ghana), Jean Munganga (Congo), Abbas Amidu (Zimbabwe) and the Malawian international, Harry Nyirenda, this season. Should they fail to collect the maximum against Highlandspark at home tomorrow afternoon, Black Leopards must forget about gaining outright promotion at the end of the season.
