A last-minute equalizing goal by Thathoganye Kgamanyane denied Black Leopards victory in their Absa Premiership League game against Chippa United.

They played to 2-2 draw at the Siza Dukashe Stadium in East London on Saturday evening.

Still fresh from a 2-2 draw against Highlands Park at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa two weeks ago, Leopards took the game to the home side from the first whistle. A brilliant pass from Karabo Tshepe sent Khuliso Mudau one-on-one with United's keeper, Daniel Akpeyi, for an easy finish in the sixth minute.

It took Chippa United only four minutes to restore parity. Andile Mbenyane met a cross from Ruzaigh Gamildien to head in the club's first goal this season. Lidoda Duvha kept up the pressure and nearly regained the lead when Akpeyi successfully dealt with Mwape Musonda's close-range attempt.

Thabo Rakhale of United was unlucky in the 29th minute when his half volley hit the woodwork and landed outside the field of play.

The second half got off to a slow pace as both sides appeared to study each other. Lidoda Duvha reclaimed the lead after Akpeyi failed to parry Musonda's shot, allowing for an easy, low finish from Tumelo Khutlang in the 59th minute.

The visitors introduced Lifa Hlongwane, Thabiso Mokoena and Themba Ndlovu for Khuliso Mudau, Tumelo Khutlang and Karabo Tshepe respectively. Three United players, Thamsanga Sangweni, Thabo Nthethe and Thabo Rakhale, were reprimanded with yellow cards for various infringements ranging from dangerous play to obstruction.

The points for the match were shared when Thathoganye Kgamanyane headed in Daine Klate's corner as Leopards went to sleep in the last minute of the referee's optional time.
