After dropping league points in their first two matches, Black Leopards made a comeback and deposited three vital points into their league account last weekend. They beat Santos 2-1 at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday.
The Thohoyandou outfit took the lead in the 34th minute via their Zambian new signee, Mwape Musonda. The home side came back strongly in the last half, with their midfielders dishing out some telling passes to the goal poachers. They found the equalizer through veteran striker Tyren Arendse, nine minutes into the last half.
The goal seemed to have been an insult to Lidoda Duvha. They reclaimed the lead through Morgan Shivambu in the 65th minute.
After collecting full points in their opening two matches, Mthatha Bucks shared the spoils with Amazulu at the Mthatha Stadium. They played to a 2-2 draw. Bucks were leading 2-0 at half time after Mashale Rantabane and Khotso Mokhele scored in the 24th and 37th minute respectively. Usuthu fought back through Nkanyiso Zungu and Sphesihle Nzimande.
Milano United registered their first victory by beating Jomo Cosmos 2-1 at the Blue Downs Stadium in Cape Town. Milano took the lead in the 47th minute via Gregory Roelf. Roelf completed his brace in the 68th minute, but Cosmos pulled one back via Nkanyiso Madonsela late in the game.
Magezi FC suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Stellenbosch FC.
Cape Town All Stars were brutally walloped 2-6 by Royal Eagles at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg, while the NFD rookies, Kings United, proved their critics wrong by beating Mbombela United 2-1 at the Kanyamazane Stadium in Nelspruit. Phumlani Gumede and Lindokuhle Mtshali scored for United, while Mbombela's solitary goal came via Clifford Mulenga in the dying minutes of the game.
University of Pretoria drew 0-0 with FC Cape Town at the Tuks Stadium in Pretoria.
