The affiliates for the Absa Premiership League will play their third league matches next Wednesday, August 24. The pride of Limpopo, Black Leopards, will enjoy the home-ground advantage when they host Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The captain of Leopards, Mongezi Bobe, has sent a chilling warning to Arrows, saying they will be in for a big surprise if they underestimate Lidoda Duvha. Bobe mentioned that they were aware of the fact that they would lose their Premiership status at the end of the season if they didn't start winning now.

"Look, the results for our first five matches will mean a lot in terms of shaping up our future as a team, and I can tell you right now that losing matches now will haunt us a great deal towards the end of the season," he said.

The good news for Leopards is that their centre forward, Kingston Nkhatha, will be available for the game. Nkhatha was out of action in the past two matches, as he was serving his suspension after accumulating three yellow cards in previous matches.

The starting time is 19:30.

In the other Absa Premiership League matches that will be played on the same evening, Free State Stars will play against Jomo Cosmos. The Cape Town derby between Santos and Ajax Cape Town will be played at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. Bloemfontein Celtic will rub shoulders with Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace.

Mamelodi Sundowns have reason to believe that they will collect full points at the expense of Moroka Swallows. Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits will meet at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Amazulu and Supersport United will meet at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban while Orlando Pirates will be the visitors in their match against Maritzburg United. They will meet at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermartizburg.
