It remains to be seen whether Black Leopards will be able to rise to the occasion and spoil Thanda Royal Zulu's unbeaten record when they meet in their NFD League match at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow afternoon (Saturday).
Thanda are still to lose a league match after 12 outings this season.
The Richards Bay side extended their lead on the log by beating Jomo Cosmos 2-0 at home last Sunday. On the other hand, the spirit is high in the Leopards' camp after collecting full points away from home last week. They beat Real Kings 2-1 in Durban.
Leopards' defenders, Jean Munganga, Marks Munyai and Lebohang Mabotja, will have a mammoth task to stop the Zulus' fast forwards in Siduduzo Dlamini and Jabulani Ncubeni. The newly appointed Black Leopards head coach, Mr Jeff Loscluto, is expected to be on the team's technical bench for the first time tomorrow, after watching his team's previous two games from the grandstand, pending the approval of his work permit.
The University of Pretoria will host Santos at the Tuks Stadium. Witbank Spurs will fly to Cape Town where they will fight for points against FC Cape Town at the NNK Rugby Stadium. FC Cape Town must win the match in order to restore their pride after losing 2-4 to Milano United last Saturday.
Stellenbosch FC will host Mbombela United, while Mthatha Bucks will entertain Milano United. Magezi FC will travel to Potchefstroom where they will battle it out with Jomo Cosmos at the Olën Park Stadium.
The Kwazulu Natal derby between Amazulu and Royal Eagles will be staged at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban and Real Kings will meet Cape Town All Stars in the mother city.
