With only three matches remaining before the end of the season, the race for promotion is still wide open in the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League. The teams are gearing up for another busy weekend, with four matches scheduled for Saturday and one for Sunday afternoon.
On Saturday, Lacoste Morning Stars will be on the road, traveling to Hamasakona village in the Hlanganani area. They will face the newly promoted Masakona Liberty Experience at the Masakona Grounds.
Liberty Experience are still struggling to find a winning combination and have not secured a single victory this season. They are currently sitting at the bottom of the league table with three points. Although Liberty Experience's goalkeeper, Adivhaho Tshishonga, is one of the best in the league, their first line of defence is one of the weakest.
Merwe United Ladies will visit Two for Joy Ladies at the Tshirenzheni School Grounds. Two for Joy are one of the three teams closely competing for the league championship, tied with Sisters FC and Rodadau FC at 34 points each. Merwe United will consider themselves lucky if they manage to return to Malamulele with a single point as they have only won one out of the 13 matches they have played to date.
Tshandama Young Stars are preparing for a home match against Phomolong Ladies at the Tshandama Grounds. Rodadau FC will face Sealene Ladies at the Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa. The only match scheduled for Sunday will be between Sisters FC and Real Mighty Girls at the Bolobedu Grounds outside Tzaneen.
