During a ceremony held in the school hall, the managing director of the team, Mr David Thidiela, stated that the purpose of their visit was to show the children that they are not a forgotten community. He stated that the disabled community has a place in the club.
That according to him can be confirmed by the fact that the club was visiting the school for the second time. Tshilidzini Special School was one of the beneficiaries for the 2001 Telkom Charity Spectacular tournament. The school received an amount of R10 000 during a function held at the Thohoyandou Arts and Crafts Centre last year.
During the ceremony one of the club's governors Chief Ramovha handed over a cheque amounting to R10 000 to the school principal Mr Mbulaheni Maluma. After the presentation of the cheque Mr Thidiela stated that they were aware of the fact that the donation was too little compared to the needs of the school.
He promised that they would do more not only to the Tshilidzini Special School but also to other institutions of a similar nature in the future. During the ceremony the school principal Mr Maluma said that the donation was a clear indication that the club belongs to the community.
