THOHOYANDOU – The Premier Soccer League has confirmed the postponement of three Castle Premiership matches that were scheduled for this weekend.

The postponement has been influenced by the Athens Olympic Games qualifying fixture between the South African U/23 team and their counterparts from Ghana.

The match will be played at the HM Pitje Stadium in Pretoria tomorrow. The affected fixtures are Black Leopards vs Orlando Pirates, Lamontville Golden Arrows vs Highlandspark Silver Stars and Kaizer Chiefs vs Wits University.

According to the rules and regulations of the league, a club with three or more players selected to represent the country is entitled to a postponement of their fixture. Golden Arrows and Wits University have three players selected for the U/23 side while four players have been selected from Orlando Pirates.

The new dates for the postponed matches will be announced in due course. Only one match will be played tomorrow. Moroka Swallows will fight for league points with one of the relegation candidates, Zulu Royals.

It will be played at the Rand Stadium in Johannesburg.

Three matches will be played at different venues on Sunday. Hellenic will host Manning Rangers at the Pam Brink Stadium in Johannesburg, starting at 16:00.

Jomo Cosmos will host Supersport United at the Rand Stadium in Johannesburg. Sundowns Football Club, who are still celebrating their victory last weekend over Silver Stars, will take on Santos at the Odi Stadium in Pretoria.
