Tshiozwi Mates and Tshiozwi Dynamos played to 2-all draw in a local derby at the Tshiozwi grounds on Sunday.
As if they were hypnotized, Dynamos was out of touch throughout the first half. They were lucky not concede goals during the first 45 minutes. Mashudu Munengiwa of Mates disappointed everyone when he beat all the defenders, including the goal keeper, but missed the target.
Velaphi Mphaphuli of Dynamos beat the keeper easily and scored in the 15th minute. A defender of Dynamos, Muhangwi Mukosi, was yellow-carded for rough tackling a few minutes later. The scoreboard was 1-0 at the break in favour of Dynamos.
The second half was war from the onset. Mates started the half at a very fast pace, giving their opponents not a moment to breathe, and their midfielders distributed telling passes to the front-runners.
Dynamos' striker, Mashudu Nengovhela, did not live up to expectations as the defence was all over him. Velaphi Mphaphuli scored his team's second goal and completed his brace, after he had received a pre-cooked pass from Nyathi Muvhango.
Elekanyani Ramavhuya of Mates forced his way through the defence of the opponents and released a rocket from outside the box to reduce the deficit by one. They equalised in the 84th minute via Mauvhela Tshivhenga.
