Singer and songwriter Lufuno Dagada has released a new single, recorded live during his "Final Bow" concert at the Moreleta Church in Pretoria on 31 August this year. The show marked the end of a long performing career for the renowned gospel artist.

Dagada has, however, saved something special for his devoted local fan base, with a concert planned for 28 December at the University of Venda Stadium. Tickets are available at Pick 'n Pay and Boxer stores, as well as online.

His latest release allows fans to relive an unforgettable piece of the worship experience that marked the pinnacle of his music career, which spans more than three decades. "The single carries the spirit and energy of the live performance, offering listeners a taste of the heartfelt praise that filled Moreleta Church. This single is not just about music—it is a celebration of faith, a testament to God's love, and a thank you to everyone who has walked this journey with me. I want listeners to feel as though they were in the crowd," said Dagada.

The 50-year-old musician, who is also a composer, producer, and music arranger, said he had started performing as a solo artist in 2001. "I'm one of the founders of the group Worship House. I'm not quitting the industry. I'm just bowing out, meaning this is my last live recording," he said.

He co-founded Worship House with former Phalaphala FM presenter Isaac Dagada in 2004. At Worship House, he led hits such as Mifhululu, Wedding Song, and Kha Vha Rendwe.

In 2001, the same year he graduated from the University of Venda, he launched his solo singing career. He teamed up with producer Wanga Mukwevho and released several albums, including My Practical God, and hits like Zwoluga, Lekunutung, and Vatamavona Mbilu Yanga Yo Takala.

Dagada has won several accolades, including Tshivenda Music Awards and Crown Gospel Music Awards.

Born and raised in Tshamulungwi Ha Rambuda in Venda, Limpopo, Dagada said he felt this was the right time to bow out after three decades, adding that the journey had been fruitful, and he had enjoyed every moment.
