The U/13 Mabaleng Development Team were crowned champions of the Collins Sebola Group Summer Games 2025, held at the Mabaleng Sports Ground in Tshiozwi village this past weekend.
The tournament was organised by Mamu Community Development, a non-profit organisation focused on sports development in the region.
Mabaleng clinched the U/13 title with a convincing 3–0 victory over Tshiozwi Dynamos in the final, played on Sunday. Their semi-final encounter was far more challenging, ending in a 2–2 draw against Zoutpansberg Powerline. Mabaleng went on to win the match 5–4 on penalties. Tshiozwi Dynamos secured their place in the final by edging Madombidzha Angry Lion City 1–0 in their semi-final.
In the U/11 final, Mabaleng Development U/11 triumphed, defeating Madombidzha Angry Lion City 3–2.
In the "senior boys" categories, Zoutpansberg Powerline claimed victory in both the U/15 and U/17 divisions. They edged Madombidzha Angry Lion City 1–0 in the U/15 final, and beat Madombidzha Angry Lion City 4–2 in the U/17 decider.
All category winners received floating trophies, gold medals and hampers from the sponsors.
