The Mabaleng Sports Ground in Tshiozwi village was a hive of activity over the past weekend as several junior teams battled it out in the Premjee & Son Cash & Carry Future Cup. The semi-finals and finals took place on Saturday and Sunday.
Hollywoodbets Mabaleng Development were crowned champions in the U/15 boys' category after beating Zoutpansberg Powerline 4-1 in the final.
In the U/13 division, Zoutpansberg Powerline claimed the trophy, edging out Hollywoodbets Mabaleng Development 6-5 on penalties after the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
Hollywoodbets Mabaleng Development also secured the U/11 title, comfortably defeating Tshikwarani Rainbow 4-1 in the final.
The women's teams also competed, with Madombidzha Angry Lion City Ladies emerging victorious. They had to work hard for their win against Madabani Green Mambas Ladies as the match ended goalless and went to a penalty shootout. Madombidzha triumphed 11-10.
All winning teams received floating trophies and gold medals.
