Madridtas FC failed to collect the maximum ABC Motsepe League points as they played to a goalless draw with Boyne Young Tigers at the Tshifudi Stadium on Saturday.

The game was a typical thriller from the onset to the bitter end, despite the fact that no goal was seen.

Young Tigers came close to scoring seven minutes into the game. Their left winger, Jacky Morapama, tried his luck from the edge of the box with a half volley. The ball hit the woodwork and bounced outside the field of play, much to the fans' disappointment.

Madridtas missed three possible chances towards the end of the first half. Their bulldozer striker, Rofhiwa "Danger" Netshiungani, received a neat pass from his captain, Solomon Noko, and shot wide from close range. Shortly thereafter, Dakalo "Akonkwo" Nemakonde's volley missed the target by inches.

Madridtas strengthened their striking force by introducing Khuliso Gunyule for Ishmael Jimo ten minutes before the referee blew the half-time whistle. John Kgare of Young Tigers was the only player who was reprimanded with a card. He tacked Lucky Masutha from behind and the referee was lenient enough not to give him his marching orders.

Madridtas later replaced Sharlen Munyamela with Gift Nemutandani in a bid to solidify their midfield. Nemutandani formed a deadly combination with Solomon Noko and Phindulo Motshoare in the middle of the park. Madridtas realized that it was not their day when Dakalo Nemakonde was brought down within the box in the 76th minute. Instead of awarding a penalty to Madridtas, the referee waved a play-on signal as if nothing had happened.
