It will be business as usual for the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League this weekend.
Six matches will be played at various places throughout the province tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) and two on Sunday. Two of the three Vhembe District-based sides, Madridtas FC and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM), will play in front of their home crowds.
Madridtas will host Mokopane Ratanang at the Tshifudi Stadium. Madridtas will have nobody to blame except themselves in case they fail to collect the maximum points at the expense of Ratanang. Ratanang are fighting for survival in the third-last position on the log, with only five points accumulated from 10 outings. They are only three points above the tail-enders, Lephalale Young Killers.
The strikers of Madridtas, Dakalo Nemakonde, Rofhiwa Netshiungani and Pfunzo Tshikotshi, are expected to give the Ratanang defence no time to breathe while the defenders, Solomon Noko, Lutendo "Viera" Mulaudzi and Maduvha Mudologi, will make sure their danger area is always clean.
TTM will host A1 Terrors at the Tshifulanani Stadium. Just like Madridtas, TTM are one of the hot contenders for the league championship. The spirit is high in the TTM camp after beating the pace setters, Molemole Academy, 2-1 on the latter's home soil. It remains to be seen whether the defenders of Terrors will be able to contain TTM's strikers in Lufuno "CJ" Mugodi and Emmanuel Neswiswi and Thabiso Lekgau.
In a double header at the Giyani Stadium, Bellevue Winners Park will host Polokwane United. That match will be followed by the match between Giyani Hotspurs and Molemole Academy. Joe Maweja will travel to Polokwane where they will meet Lephalale Young Killers at the TT Cholo Stadium. Gawula Classic will host Polokwane Academy at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday.
