In their ABC Motsepe League match at the Tshifudi Stadium on Saturday, Madridtas gave Baroka FC a day to remember when they brutally walloped them 4-0.

Baroka played almost the whole game with 10 men. They were reduced to 10 men only four minutes into the game. Their vastly experienced centre back, Kholofelo Mafolo, was given his marching orders for obstructing Pfunzo Tshikotshi just outside the penalty box.

Baroka managed to keep a clean sheet in the first half, despite the setback. At that stage, Madridtas were virtually unstoppable, although it was difficult for them to find their way through the defence of Baroka.

The home side threatened to score for the first time in the 18th minute. Pfunzo Tshikotshi tried his luck with a half volley from the 25-metre area. The ball missed the target by inches, much to the fans' disappointment. Shortly thereafter, Langanani Matodzi of Madridtas received a neat pass from Thuso Nevhufumba and shot wide from close range. Maanda Munyai of Madridtas was booked for a dangerous tackle towards the end of the first half.

Madridtas rectified their mistakes and started to fire on all cylinders. Their efforts did not pass without reward as they managed to open their account six minutes into the last half. Thuso Nevhufumba beat the keeper with a half volley from outside the box.

Matodzi was on target with a half volley after beating the offside trap. Madridtas replaced Ambani Tshisikule with Mulisa Ramusia in the 65th minute. Mulisa Ramusia made his presence felt in the 74th minute when he hooked in the ball, following scramble within the box.

Langanani Matodzi completed his brace with a ground cutter in the dying minutes of the game.
