Following the success of his last album, "U Mala A Hu Fheli," which was released in 2022, Tshivenḓa-Afro traditional musician Azwianewi Christopher Mathogo, from Mphireleni Habudeli outside Thohoyandou, has released another EP, titled "Mudodoma." The new release was formally launched at the Louis Trichardt Taxi Rank on 3 June.

The EP, recorded at Laud and Clear Studios in Lenz, Gauteng, boasts powerful tracks such as the title track "Mudodoma," "Mahosi a Venda," "Mukololo," and "Tshidimela."

Engineered by the popular engineer Mr Vukile Xol, like all his previous work, "U Mala A Hu Fheli" is a quality product that cements Mathogo's dominance and superiority in the Tshivenda music space.

Mathogo has produced 10 albums thus far, all of which have done very well in the market. His latest project, however, heralds a new chapter in his music career as all his music will henceforth deviate from the traditional CDs to a digital platform.

"The music industry is moving at such a great speed, and I too have to move with the times. Things have changed. Gone are those days when we used to carry big speakers and stacks of CDs that must be sold on street corners. Technology is making things easier for us, as our fans can buy our music directly from digital music stores. The era of the CD is gone. Even the record shops that used to sell our music are all closed. I cannot be left behind as an artist. I think this will work to my advantage as the different music platforms are accessible to the world community. We are now able to reach out to wider audiences," he said.
