Gogobole Bucs were crowned the champions of Stream A of the Limpopo Dairy League when they were held to a goalless draw by the on-form Magau United on Saturday at the Magau grounds.

Bucs realised that it would be a difficult day at the office when their leading goal scorer, Fani Sadiki, fumbled at the goal finish. He received a good pass from Fhulufhelo Ramabulana within the box and shot wide with the stranded keeper, Elton Ramuumo, already beaten. Sadiki committed a similar blunder a little later. This time around, he failed to connect with Lutendo Mabasa's square pass.

Rabelani Mufamadi, United's centre back, was lucky to get away with a yellow card. He obstructed keeper Khongelani Baloyi at the edge of the box in a one-on-one situation. The referee did the unexpected when he flashed a yellow card at a time when everyone thought he would give Mufamadi his marching orders.

United threatened to score in the 39th minute. Murepa Maumela received a beautiful pass from Pelembe Muhanelwa and unleashed aimlessly from close range.

United replaced Rabelani Mufamadi with Phumudzo Silika early in the second half. Tondani Madabeni of Bucs became a laughing stock in the 79th minute. He won a loose ball from the left corner and ran a few steps towards the goals before beating the keeper. His shot hit the woodwork and landed outside the field of play for a goal kick.

Thomas Mhlongo of Bucs was booked for a late tackle late in the game.
