After collecting full points in their last two matches, Magezi FC came back home with empty hands from their away match against Thanda Royal Zulu.

The KZN team beat them 2-1 at the Umhlatuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay. Thanda took the lead in the 18th minute when Evander Malope found the net with a close-range half volley. Magezi fought back in the 30th minute via Khuliso Mudau, who caught the Thanda keeper napping with a half volley.

The goal that earned Thanda three vital points came in the 54th minute when Khotso Malope blasted in a rocket after a scramble within the box.

Mbombela United were too strong for Santos and crushed them 3-0 at the Kanyamazane Stadium in Nelspruit. Tshidiso Patjie was on target in the 44th minute. Thamsanga Mayisa scored the second 15 minutes into the second half, while the third came via Tsepo Liphoko on the stroke of full time.

Royal Eagles emerged victorious in their Kwazulu-Natal derby against Real Kings at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg. The only goal in the game was scored by Siyabonga Shoyisa in the 34th minute.

Stellenbosch FC enhanced their promotional play-off chances by walloping Mthatha Bucks 4-0 at the Parow Park Stadium. Stanley Muishond scored a hat trick, while the fourth one came via Aphine Lubisi.

Black Leopards collected full points at the expense of Amazulu, whom they beat 3-2 at the Thohoyandou Stadium. Phathutshedzo Nange, Mwape Musonda and Siyanda Masango scored for Lidoda Duvha, while Amazulu responded via Ovidy Karuru and Mabhuthi Khenyeza. (See a full match report on the main sports page).

FC Cape Town beat Jomo Cosmos 1-0, while Cape Town All Stars beat the University of Pretoria by the same margin.
