After dropping league points in their last two matches, Maindis Ladies must collect the maximum points in their next fixture to keep their title hope alive. They will travel to Emalahleni on Sunday, where they will do battle with Coal City Wizards at the Puma Rugby Stadium.
While a win for Maindis will be good enough to revive their title hopes, the situation is totally different for Coal City Wizards. Maindis are currently lying in the seventh position on the log standings with 30 points, eight behind the log leaders, JVW FC. As for Coal City Wizards, the game will be a matter of life and death. City Wizards are one of the five teams fighting for survival. Should they manage to beat Maindis on Sunday, City Wizards are likely to move three steps up on the log standings.
The other Limpopo-based side, First Touch FC, will entertain Golden Ladies at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday. First Touch are not safe in terms of relegation.
Durban Ladies will host JVW FC at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban. Although this will be a home fixture for them, collecting the maximum points at the expense of JVW FC will not be an easy task for the Durban Ladies. JVW FC are currently leading the pack with 38 points. The mood is good in their camp after beating Golden Ladies 8-0 last Saturday.
The other weekend fixtures are Bloemfontein Celtic vs TUT Football Club, UWC vs Thunderbirds Ladies, City Lads vs Mamelodi Sundowns, Vasco da Gama vs Richmond United and University of Johannesburg FC vs Tsunami Queens FC.
