The Vhembe-born superstar, Makhadzi, had the crowd at Tshikhwani on their feet on Christmas Eve when she performed at the Yellow Village Festival. She shared the stage with local artists, but the appreciative audience clearly could not get enough of Makhadzi's music.
"What a great event!" said the 2024 Black Entertainment Television (BET) award winner, Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, popularly known as Makhadzi. "It was a great opportunity for local artists to come together and meet their fans. We were at our best, I believe," she said.
The festival was organised by Mr. Makatu Musenwa of Yellow Village. The line-up included both emerging and established local artists, such as German Mudau, Gusba Banana, and many more.
Makhadzi, the star of the show, complimented the organisers for providing artists with the platform to perform and connect with their fans. "I was so happy to see that people still love my music," she said. "I even saw young people shouting my lyrics and dancing. It was amazing."
She added that many young musicians saw her as a role model, admiring her experience and success in the music industry.
