Makhurabada through to dream final

Tshakhuma Na Ndilani snatched a late winning goal against FC KK, whom they beat 3-2, to secure a place in the final of the Amos Shield Charity Tournament at the Tshakhuma Mulangaphuma Stadium on Saturday.

Tshakhuma Na Ndilani snatched a late winning goal against FC KK, whom they beat 3-2, to secure a place in the final of the Amos Shield Charity Tournament at the Tshakhuma Mulangaphuma Stadium on Saturday.

As if they were going to bury Tshakhuma alive, KK started the game like a house on fire, with their midfielders pushing forward in their search for early goals. Their efforts did not pass without reward as they managed to open their account three minutes into the game.

Lufuno Mudau hooked in the ball after a corner kick that was taken by Ndivhuwo Mulovhedzi. Tshakhuma Na Ndilani, or Makhurabada, did not throw in the towel without a fight despite conceding an early goal. They fought back and in the 19th minute, Rolivhuwa Mukwevho was on target, following a scramble within the box.

KK lost their original rhythm shortly after the equaliser. Khaukanani Mudau tried his luck from the 35 meter area with a volley. The keeper of FC KK, Andani Netshishivhe, watched helplessly as the ball hit the back of the net.

Oscar Ntshauba of Tshakhuma was warned with a card seven minutes before the half-time whistle. He tackled Murendeni Netsianda from behind and was lucky to get away with a mere yellow.

KK approached the last half aggressively. They found the equalizer via Mashudu Nyadzani, who scored from a free kick with a volley. Realizing that a draw was enough to take them to the final, KK started to play defensive football. Makhurabada did not stop fighting, although time was not on their side. Ndivhuwo Mukwevho, who came on as a substitute, scored with a header to bring the final score to 3-2.
