A 27-year-old man accused of selling medicine without the proper licences was arrested at Elim by the Hawks' Serious Commercial Crime Unit on Wednesday, 13 December.
The man was arrested in a joint operation with the Limpopo Department of Health, following a tip-off received by the police.
According to provincial Hawks spokesperson Capt Matimba Maluleke, an assortment of ointments, creams and tablets with an estimated street value of R120 000 were seized during the man's arrest.
The suspect was expected to appear in the Hlanganani Magistrate Court on Thursday afternoon, where he will face charges relating to the contravention of the Medicines Act.
