Man found dead inside buffalo camp

MOPANI – The police in the Mopani Area have opened an inquest docket, following the death of a 25-year-old man, whose body was found in the bushes at the Blydevallei Boerdery buffalo farm near Hoedspruit on Sunday morning.

According to the Capt Maano Sadiki, the spokesperson for the police in the area, the man’s body was discovered by his co-workers, who were doing routine work on the farm. They immediately reported the matter at the nearby police station.

According to the police statement, the deceased seemed to have been trampled by a buffalo. The statement indicates that there were multiple wounds on his body. Although the police had all the particulars for the deceased, they could not reveal his identity as they were still tracing his next of kin at the time of going to press.
