Police in Thohoyandou have launched a manhunt for unknown suspects following the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man in Makonde, Shadani village, in the early hours of Saturday.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 01:00 on 4 April. Officers responded to a complaint and, on arrival at the scene, discovered the body of a man lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
Preliminary investigations indicate that several empty cartridges were recovered at the scene, suggesting the victim was shot multiple times.
The motive for the attack remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
Authorities have appealed to members of the public who may have information that could assist in tracking down the suspects to come forward.
