Hip-hop artist Mass The Difference from Shayandima has left his fans brimming with excitement with the release of his long-awaited EP, "Casino Baby," on 21 July. The 4-track EP, his third music project, features unique collaborations with exceptional talents such as Ezra and Wu Kid.
Mass The Difference, born Lenny Sadiki, began his musical journey at the tender age of 14, exploring the world of poetry. One day, a high school friend, impressed by Mass' poems, started converting them into rap verses, unknowingly igniting a fiery passion for the genre within the artist. A few years ago, he gained more popularity when he featured acclaimed artist Cassper Nyovest in the song "What's Wrong With Me."
"Casino Baby" combines captivating storytelling and mesmerising rhythm and beat, showcasing the rapper's artistic range. Mass reveals that each track was meticulously crafted to take the listener on a trip down memory lane, through the streets and experiences that have shaped his life and career. The EP's inspiration comes from his own childhood memories at the Carousel in Hammanskraal, where he spent most of his time inside the casino, observing people gambling and experiencing the highs and lows of making and losing money.
Mass expresses his gratitude for the overwhelmingly positive response he has received since the release of "Casino Baby." Despite being away from the music industry for nearly three years for other commitments, he feels humbled and delighted to be back. He attributes his success to his dedicated fan base, whose unwavering support has shown that their hard work in creating something truly special has paid off.
