Mathilda Mamatseane, the trailblazing beauty queen from Thohoyandou, has added another historic milestone to her growing list of achievements. Crowned the first-ever Miss South Africa Disability for 2024/2025 on 2 November 2024, she was appointed just over a year later, on 1 November 2025, as the inaugural Miss South Africa Disability Manager.
She officially assumed the role during the crowning of the second Miss SA Disability 2025/2026, Ms Botseetse Kgaphola, at Thohoyandou's George Phadagi Hall.
Mamatseane, also a successful businesswoman who owns a carpentry company, described the appointment as both personal and historic. "This is a powerful and emotional milestone. Being the first Miss South Africa Disability and now stepping into the manager's role fills me with pride, purpose, and a sense of responsibility. It is a moment of honour not just for me, but for everyone who has fought for inclusion and visibility," she said.
She added that her mission went beyond a title. "This role carries a strong sense of duty. I want to ensure that no one with a disability feels unseen or excluded in spaces of beauty and representation. It's about leaving a legacy and creating a platform where everyone can feel included."
As manager, Mamatseane will report directly to the director of the organization and oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of all Miss South Africa Disability programmes, events, and advocacy initiatives.
