It remains to be seen whether Joe Maweja will continue from where they left off last weekend when they host Polokwane United in their ABC Motsepe League match at the Tshifulanani Stadium tomorrow.
Maweja did the unexpected last Sunday when they rose to the occasion and beat A1 Terrors 1-0 at the Ephraim Mohale Stadium in Modimolle. The team's general manager, Mr Mukondi Nemavhulani, is optimistic that his side will collect the maximum points at the expense of United tomorrow. According to him they had recently signed a number of talented young players in a bid to beef up their ailing squad.
Nemavhulani further stated that the newly recruited players had formed a deadly combination with the old ones against Terrors last Sunday. Although they won their match last weekend, Maweja are still not safe when it comes to relegation.
The pace setters, Bellevue Winners Park, will travel all the way to Mokopane where they will lock horns with Mokopane Ratanang at the Mahwelereng Stadium. In the only match that will be played this afternoon (Friday), Mighty FC will take on Molemole Academy at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Great North FC will test their strength against A1 Terrors at the Seshego Stadium. Great North beat Molemole Academy 1-0 at the Nirvana Stadium last Saturday. Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) will not find it easy when they rub shoulders with Polokwane Academy at the Polokwane Rugby Fields. Both TTM and Academy won their matches last weekend.
Gawula Classic and Giyani Hotspurs will meet in their Giyani derby at the Giyani Stadium, while Madridtas will have a date with Lephalale Young Killers at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane. Boyne Young Tigers and The Dolphins will meet at the Boyne Stadium.
The players to watch in the weekend's matches are Lutendo Mulaudzi, Rofhiwa Netshiungani and Solomon Noko (Madridtas), Takalani Ramagalela and Mashudu Mukhari (Joe Maweja) and Khathutshelo Mudau and Lufuno Mugodi (TTM).
