After a break of about two years, Mbangi and his band Mphagani Sounds are back with their second album, Mukula.

Just like the debut album, Bridget ni wanga, the new release was recorded at the Mphagani Music Productions studios at Mukula village early this year. According to Mbangi, his debut album sold about 4 000 copies and it is still in demand at music outlets.

Mukula, the new album, was released three weeks ago and comprises six songs. According to Mbangi, the new release is a tribute to the late traditional leader of Mukula village, Musanda Vho-Nkhwathiseni Takalani. Some of the songs that have the potential to make Mukula a must-have album include Mufunwa, Ri songo vhulahana, Zwidihwa nga Yehova, Mudzimu musiki and the title track, Mukula.

He stated that the new release was performing remarkably well in the market. "Judging from what I have seen in the past weeks, one can safely conclude that Mukula will beat Bridget ni wanga by far when it comes to sales," he said.

Mbangi said that he would be performing live at different places throughout the district in the coming months as part of promoting the album. For live performance bookings, he can be contacted on 072 400 0875 or 071 411 3871.
