The affiliates of the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League will be fighting for league points at various places throughout the province this weekend.
Whether Mikhado FC will continue from where they left off last weekend remains to be seen. Mikhado rose to the occasion and beat the log leaders, The Dolphins FC, 1-0 at the Ben Serake Stadium in Bochum last Saturday. They will host Polokwane United at the Rabali Stadium on Sunday. Although they will be playing in front of their home crowd, it will not be easy for Mikhado to collect the maximum points against United as the latter are one of the close league title contenders. They are in the third position on the log.
After donating points to their opponents last weekend, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have a mountain to climb this weekend. They will entertain The Dolphins at the Tshifulanani Stadium. While the Dolphins will be fighting it with the aim of maintaining their leadership, it will be a matter of life and death for Tshakhuma. The Vhembe side are lying in the second-last position on the log with 14 points collected from 16 outings.
The other Vhembe-based side, Madridtas FC, will host Great North FC at the Tshifudi Stadium. Madridtas are still fresh from a 4-3 victory over Giyani Hotspurs.
Joe Maweja will travel to Sekhukhune, where they will play against Ditlou FC at the Jane Furse Stadium.
Magezi FC will battle it out for league points against Mighty FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Mighty proved all the critics wrong by beating Ndengeza FC 4-3 last weekend.
The Polokwane derby between Baroka FC and Boyne Tigers will be staged at the Ngoana Mahube Stadium. Polokwane Academy and Giyani Hotspurs will meet at the Polokwane Rugby Stadium.
