Radiant, confident and effortlessly magnetic, Pandelani Mulaudzi — better known as Miss P — has become one of the most recognisable voices on Phalaphala FM and one of the most dynamic DJs on South Africa's entertainment circuit. Whether commanding the airwaves or igniting the dancefloor, Miss P exudes a presence that fuses discipline with passion, groundedness with flair.

"For me, it is always radio first — that is the centre of it all," she says. "Because I am naturally a disciplined person, it is easier to balance the demands of radio and live performance. Each space requires a different kind of energy, but they complement each other beautifully."

Her journey began before she turned 10, when she joined Univen Radio as a children's programme presenter. "I believe God chose me for this," she reflects. "Of course, I still get butterflies — it depends on the day and what I have to deliver. At the centre of it all is always the responsibility to make my show meaningful and beneficial to the listener."

From that early start, Miss P has grown into a confident broadcaster whose work bridges generations. "Media have evolved and music has evolved," she says. "That journey has taught me to stay flexible, to learn continuously and to embrace change rather than fear it."

Away from the studio, Miss P is also a powerhouse behind the decks. Known for her precision and energy, her DJ sets have become fixtures at major events across the province. "I love music a lot," she says with a laugh. "Preparation is everything — knowing your crowd, knowing your sound and staying true to what moves you."

Television and acting have also become part of her creative portfolio. "I love both TV and radio, but the freedom that radio offers really makes it stand out for me," she says. "Acting, on the other hand, challenges me to step into characters that are completely different from who I am — and that is a different kind of creativity."

Fashion, too, plays a defining role in her identity. "Fashion is a part of me," she says. "I want my name to pop up when conversations about style come up because I love looking good. It makes me feel that I can reach my full potential — remember, first impressions count."

Her influence extends beyond entertainment. Miss P uses her platform to celebrate and uplift local talent. "From the clothes I wear to the music I play, I make sure to showcase our creatives," she says. On her show, she dedicates an hour to Venda house music — a move that has helped boost local musicians' visibility.

Looking ahead, Miss P is exploring new creative frontiers. "What is next for me is really exciting," she says. "I have a new children's book coming in December 2025 — the second in my Lorani's Journey series. Storytelling for children has become such a passion of mine, and I cannot wait to share this chapter with the world."
