The family of the late Lindelani Nengovhela, better known as Mme a Muofhe on social-media platforms, say they were not happy with the continued postponement of her case. This came after the murder case against her husband, comedian Livhuwani, was postponed yet again.

Madadzhe, who is popularly known as SABC Livhu in the entertainment world, was arrested for Nengovhela's murder after her lifeless body was found in a water-filled trench that was dug next to the comedian's house in Mangondi Hasidou outside Thohoyandou on 28 January this year.

The director of public prosecutions must still decide on the charges Madadzhe will have to face.

During his appearance in the Thohoyandou Magistrate's Court on Friday, 28 July, the 38-year-old accused looked content and happy. His case was postponed to 29 September, and his R50,000 bail with conditions was extended.

The postponement did not go down well with the family members, who feel that they have not had closure in the case. The late woman's sister, Ms. Sylvia Nengovhela, said the family was slowly losing hope that justice will ever be done in her sister's murder. "We are not happy at all. We always go to court hoping that the suspect will be going to trial, but it is one postponement after another. What adds to our pain is the continued insistence by the defence advocate that the suspect is innocent. This makes us doubt if her killer will ever be found guilty. The other painful thing about the case is the conduct of the suspect (Madadzhe), who indicated in his bail application that he wanted to be freed to work for the children of our late sister."

According to Sylvia, Madadzhe does not show any remorse and is not helping his children in any way. "We have not heard from him since the incident. He does not bother to inquire about their health, what they eat, or if they have clothes and school uniforms. If he is not guilty, he should be helping the police to find out who caused his wife's death. All he finds pleasure in is posting [photos of] the children on social media. All we want now is for the case to go to trial, so we can find closure as a family," she said.
