Following the successful completion of the first batch of opening matches of the ABC Foundation Soccer Tournament at the Khubvi Benjie's Grounds last weekend, the final instalment of the round-of-32 matches will take place at the same venue this weekend. As with last weekend, four matches are scheduled for Saturday, with another four set for Sunday.
Tshishivhe Tiger Boys will test their strength against Rockers FC in one of Saturday's matches. Malavuwe Great Movers are bracing for a tough encounter against Manamani City. Great Movers were among the teams that took part in the SAFA Vhembe Regional promotional playoff games last month.
Makonde FC, also participants in the promotional playoffs, will face Madridtas FC in what promises to be a humdinger. Madridtas were recently crowned champions of the Kamurini Soccer Tournament at the Mahagala Grounds in Halambani, defeating Vhembe Tron 2-1 in the final to lift the trophy.
Makonde Home Defenders will be fortunate if they concede fewer than three goals against Musasenda Big Five. Big Five have played a number of friendly matches over the past weeks to keep the players active during the off-season.
Sunday will see Gondeni Big Cat battle Saudi FC in the opening match, followed by Mukula Young Santos facing Maelula United Brothers. Avhatakali Tshivhase and Tshilisanani Phalanndwa, Santos' playmakers, could wreak havoc on Brothers' defence if not properly contained.
The remaining Sunday fixtures are Ramantsha Blackpool vs Mahagala Young Stars and Vhembe Tron vs Tshamutilikwa Fire Boys.
