More league points for Black Leopards?

After registering their first victory in a league match this season, Leopards are geared to collect more points at the weekend.

They beat Baroka FC 2-0 at the Thohoyandou Stadium last Saturday. (See a match report)

Leopards will fly to Cape Town, where they will lock horns with Vasco da Gama at the Parow Park Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

According to the Leopards' player coach, Mongezi Bobe, their victory last weekend against Baroka was a morale booster to the players. Bobe was on the team's technical bench against Baroka last Saturday after the team's assistant coaches, Mr Eshwin Sutton and Solly Luvhengo, were reportedly requested to stand aside for that match only.

It will be a suicidal mistake for Leopards if they underestimate the Capetonians, who are also still fresh from an away 1-0 victory against Highlandspark. Leopards must always keep a watchful eye on Alan Lebyane or else they will not know what has eaten them when the referee blows the final whistle tomorrow. Lebyane currently Vasco's leading goal scorer. A combination of Marks Munyai, Lebohang Mabotja and Jean Munganga in the Leopards' defence has the potential to contain any striker.

Other matches that will be played tomorrow afternoon are: Witbank Spurs vs FC Cape Town (Puma Rugby Stadium), Baroka FC vs Milano United (Old Peter Mokaba Stadium) and Jomo Cosmos vs Lamontville Golden Arrows (Isak Steyn Stadium). Santos will host FC Cape Town in their Cape Town derby this evening. Also this evening, Garankuwa United will entertain African Warriors while Royal Eagles will take on Cape Town All Stars.

In the only match that will be played on Sunday, Maluti FET College will play against Highlandspark at the Charles Mopedi Stadium.
