After beating Shayandima Disco Five 3-0 at home two weeks ago, Mutandani Pull Together continued to collect league points last weekend. They beat Tshakhuma RO United 2-1 at the Tshakhuma Malaria grounds on Sunday.

The absence of Khathutshelo Mukomafhedzi in the United's defence was evident from the onset. Although the United defence was shaky, their acrobatic keeper, Adziambei Sigaba, abandoned his position at times to assist the defenders. The scoreboard was still blank when the teams adjourned for the half-time break.

Pull Together were awarded a free kick in the 25-meter area seven minutes into the last half. A substitute, Norman Munyadziwa, beat the keeper with a volley from the place kick. The goal was a wakeup call to the players of RO United. They were awarded a penalty in the 68th minute. Their centre forward, Mulisa Luvhengo, was brought down within the box. Their keeper, Adziambei Sigaba, made no mistake from the white spot.

The players of Pull Together were not happy with the referee's decision to award United a penalty. They confronted him angrily, accusing him of being biased. The situation came back to normal after their veteran defender, Nathaniel Maise, was reprimanded with a card. Lufuno Mugodi of United was also warned with a card for obstructing the opponents' keeper.

Pull Together snatched the winning goal nine minutes before the final whistle. Mazwifhi Khangale gave the ball a final touch after a scramble within the box.
