The struggling Black Leopards played to a goalless draw against Highbury last Friday in the ABC Motsepe Foundation Championship League at Gelvandale Stadium in Gqeberha.
Leopards, currently bottom of the log with 17 points - just one behind Baroka on 18 - desperately need a win. They will require a near-perfect run, winning at least five consecutive matches without dropping points, to have a chance of avoiding relegation next season.
In other Vhembe-based matches over the weekend, Venda Football Club (VFC) were held to a 1–1 draw by Cape Town City at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday. Meanwhile, Gomora United, 13th on the log with 24 points, drew 1–1 against Leicesterford City at Kameelrivier Stadium in Siyabuswa, Mpumalanga, also on Saturday.
