Thohoyandou Stadium is expected to be packed to capacity when Mpheni Defenders and Vondwe XI Bullets face off in their ABC Motsepe League match on Sunday afternoon.
Defenders and Bullets have unfinished business. Their last two league encounters at Makonde Stadium were not played to completion. The first match, held about two months ago, was abandoned within the first 15 minutes, while the second was abruptly halted just 13 minutes before the end of regulation time.
Given their previous experiences against Bullets, Mpheni Defenders have opted to forfeit their home-ground advantage and move Sunday's match to Thohoyandou Stadium.
Another highly anticipated clash will see Musina United take on United Artists at Musina Rugby Stadium. Musina United are one of four teams in close contention for the league title. Breaking through Musina's defence, marshalled by Kamogelo Maunye and Thomas Chirwa, will not be easy for the Artists' strikers.
The Tzaneen derby between Nkowankowa Continentals and Tzaneen United will take place at Nkowankowa Stadium. Meanwhile, Black Leopards will have only themselves to blame if they fail to secure a win against Tlhotlhokwe Golden Syrup at Selwane Stadium outside Phalaborwa. Golden Syrup are yet to win a league match this season.
Munaca FC will host White Vultures at Makhado Show Grounds, while Maruleng Celtic await Winners Park at Mankoko Stadium outside Hoedspruit.
Other fixtures include: Mohlabile United vs City Motors; Mighty FC vs Mokopane PJ Stars; Ditlou FC vs Sun Rise FC; Tubatse United vs The Dolphins FC; Eleven Fast Tigers vs Royal Pirates.
