Mukula Young Santos are still celebrating their victory and basking in the joy of being crowned champions of the Vhembe Regional League. Their 3-1 win over Dipeni FC in the final of the Safa Vhembe promotional play-offs secured them a spot in the upcoming provincial promotional play-offs, which will be hosted by the Safa Mopani Regional League next month.

Head coach Mr Tailor Nevhutanda credited the team's success to the hard work and the dedication of the management, technical staff, and players. In an interview after the game, Nevhutanda said that winning the regional championship was a significant step in the right direction for the team. He mentioned that they would begin preparations for the provincial event, even though the exact tournament date was yet to be announced.

This will be the second time that Mukula Young Santos is to represent the region in the provincial promotional play-offs, with their previous attempt taking place 18 years ago. Nevhutanda emphasised that their goal was not simply to participate but to compete at provincial level. He stated that they had learnt valuable lessons from their first attempt and were eager to apply them this time around.

Following their victory, Young Santos were presented with a floating trophy, R40 000 prize money, and gold medals in a ceremony held at the stadium. Vhahangwele Tshifhango, the team's captain, was named the Player of the Tournament and received R1 500. Ipfi Mafune of Young Santos won the Best Goalkeeper award, earning R1 000, while Pfariso Makhura of Dipeni FC was recognised as the Man of the Match and received R500. These individual awards were sponsored by local electrical company Unarine Construction.
