Popular reggae artist Mula Jay has joined forces with veteran musician Shufflers Ragimana to release a new single titled Ndi a Livhuwa, a song that celebrates gratitude, cultural pride and unity.
Released on 1 May, the reggae-inspired track carries a positive and uplifting message, encouraging people to appreciate life, family, opportunities and everyday blessings. The song blends conscious reggae music with African cultural influences.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone in Mula Jay’s musical journey, as he shares the stage with one of Vhembe music’s most respected figures. Shufflers Ragimana’s contribution adds depth and authenticity to the song while bridging the gap between established and emerging artists.
According to Mula Jay, the production of Ndi a Livhuwa was completed in Uganda, while the recording process and additional instrumental work were done in South Africa. The cross-border collaboration brought together musicians and producers from both countries, resulting in a unique sound that reflects Africa’s musical diversity while maintaining a strong connection to Venda culture.
