In a combination that has seldom before been seen in the local music scene, rising music sensation Mickeyblack, who has made waves in the music industry, has joined forces with popular musician Mulaudzi Tee Jay and come up with a refreshing amapiano gospel single, Songo Nyama.

On the single, which was released on Friday, 7 March, musician Mulaudzi Tee Jay also roped in top producers DJ Solss, DJ Search, Emjaykeyz and Thereal Tee. The song was recorded in Thembisa at the Gwamasenga Studio and it was produced by DJ Search & DJ Solss.

Mulaudzi Tee Jay is upbeat about the song, saying it will make waves in the industry. "This song is a very powerful reminder to the listeners that no matter the challenges we face, God will open doors, and brighter days lie ahead. This uplifting anthem addresses themes of hope, resilience, and spiritual strength, encouraging listeners to hold on to faith during tough times. The lyrics emphasise the importance of not giving up," he said.

According to Mulaudzi Tee Jay, he had always wished to do a collaboration with the young, rising star. "I met Mickeyblack at the SABC 2 Auckland Park building in Gauteng on 17 December last year, and little did I know that the encounter would lead to something this big. I did not know she was also such a big fan of my popular song, Ari Fani," he said.

He added that both of them were very excited to meet each other. "We exchanged numbers and the rest is history and I can tell you, working with her was so exiting and refreshing. Finding myself in the studio with her was like a dream come true," he added. He was hopeful that it was not a once-off project, but that the two musicians would work together on future projects.
