Many radio stations have already released their line-ups for the coming radio year, which commences on Saturday, 1 April. Likewise, SABC radio Munghana Lonene FM also announced their changes for the new radio year.

Good news for listeners is that the radio station's prodigal son, Sydney Baloyi, is rejoining the crew on Saturday mornings, teaming up with co-host Kulani "Ms Kulie" Hobyane and producer Themba Techtonics Chauke for the Saturday breakfast show N'wayitelo wa Mugqibela from 07:00 to 09:00.

Sydney Baloyi first joined Munghana Lonene in 2007, building an endearing relationship with his listeners over the years. He previously co-hosted the Phaphama show (from 07:00 to 09:00) with DJ Brian on weekday mornings. He also hosted a jazz show on Sundays (from 12:00 to 14:00). During his time at Munghana Lonene FM, he had won the award for best radio presenter several times. In 2009, however, Sydney got an opportunity to host The Talk-Shop show on SAFM.

Some of the other changes Munghana Lonene FM listeners can expect from Saturday onwards include Morris Maningi wa Ntamu Sibuyi's return to the community diaries slot Ta Vaaki on weekdays from 20:00 to 21:00; Thembi Thembzana will present the social content from Mondays to Thursdays from 22:00 to 00:00, and the popular adult talk show Gongomela moves from 00:00 to 03:00 on weekdays and will still be hosted by Risimati Kwinika.

On Friday nights from 21:00 to 22:00, Hope Lebese joins the on-air team as the new presenter for the Youth ke Yona show; Quinton "The Quintinizer" Baloyi and Foster Mafosi will present Timitsu ta Xitsonga on Saturdays from 13:00 to 15:00, and Dr KS Maluleke will co-present the Sunday morning gospel show, Sisimuka u vangama, with Maningi wa Ntamu from 06:00 to 09:00.

The SABC Limpopo Combo's business manager, Madikana Matjila, said Munghana Lonene FM intended to live up to its brand promise by being a trendsetter in the broadcasting space. "We are excited to introduce cutting-edge digital SABC platforms that are incorporated into Munghana Lonene FM's offerings, which is a mix of fresh new talent, coupled with big industry names that will continue to offer listeners a great listening experience," said Matjila.
