Muneiwa Walter Mawela, also known as Munymax, recorded a killer hit called Vha na vivho in January this year. He is now working on a full-length album that promises fireworks.

When Mawela is not making music, he is a student at Univen, enrolled for a BSc degree in biochemistry and chemistry. He launched Vha na vivho earlier this year to massive applause by his fans. The track, which had since become quite the talk of the town, features Easy SA and Isaiah Everest.

"One would have thought that Covid-19 would leave many artists depressed due to the lack of events, but we are more energetic than ever when it comes to being creative," said the hit maker of Dzia vhuya (vha polo).

Another track that caused wild waves is Asi vhothe, which was released in July 2020. His debut full-length album, released in 2019, is titled Mvelaphanda.

Munymax was born in Itsani village and matriculated from Azwifarwi Secondary School in Lufule 2, where he currently resides.

He wowed hundreds of music lovers when he performed during the Tshivenda Music Awards' roadshows at Sibasa and Thavhani Mall. He received three nominations at the 2020 Tshivenda Music Awards for Best Artist of the Year, Best Song of the Year and Best Newcomer of the Year.

Munymax is the son of Azwinaki Khuluvhe and Ronald Mawela, and lives up to the meaning of his name, Muneiwa, which means 'one bestowed with talents and gifts'.
