Zamenkomste Liverpool beat Muraleni United Brothers 2-1 in the Heritage tournament at Muraleni on Sunday.
Liverpool started at a fast pace, with the midfielders on fire and distributing telling passes to the strikers. They threatened to score in the early minutes, when Nditsheni "Balo" Musekwa forced his way through the defence of United before passing to Seroba Maluleke. His attempt missed the target by inches.
United realised that Liverpool were all over them and abandoned their positions and packed themselves at the far back. Nditsheni Musekwa of Liverpool's scored the only goal of the match in the 34th minute. He unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that beat the keeper of United, Faith Ratombo.
The second half saw United pressing hard in search of the equaliser. Naledezani Mutshinyali of United beat three defenders in a row but shot wide when left with only the keeper to beat.
Makonde Ramovha and Mpho Khantshi of Liverpool were cautioned with yellow cards for different infringements. United equalized through Ndweleni Tsanwani in the 56th minute. Their celebration was cut short as Nditsheni Musekwa completed his brace and scored his team's second goal.
