The organiser of Makhadzi's One Woman Show, set for Makhuvha and Rabali Stadium this weekend, has urged music fans across Limpopo not to make other plans, promising a festival bigger and better than ever.

The organiser of Makhadzi's One Woman Show, set for Makhuvha and Rabali Stadium this weekend, has urged music fans across Limpopo not to make other plans, promising a festival bigger and better than ever.

Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, better known as Makhadzi, is one of Africa's most popular female artists. She began singing on the streets of Louis Trichardt and Thohoyandou as a teenager and has since risen to national and international stages.

Makhadzi's manager, Maphuthi Mathato, said the festival aimed to bring people together for a music-filled weekend. "It is about bringing people together and inspiring fans and musicians alike. People can be sure that the artists will give them the best of their performances," she said.

In a show of support for local communities, Makhadzi will allow women street vendors to sell their products at the venue, free of charge. She also invited Venda, Pedi and Tsonga musicians to perform and celebrate together. "It is not about making profit from this festival, but to market our province and show our talent," Mathato said.

Makhadzi said she was confident of delivering for fans and further cementing her place on the national music scene. "I believe in myself and I know that to perform in front of a big crowd is proof that I have accomplished my mission of becoming one of the best artists in the country," she said.

Performers include Makhadzi, Khakhathi, Mizofyl, Zozo, Benny Mayenganye and others over the two-day event. Gates open at 10:00. Tickets cost R200, golden tickets R350, and VIP R1 500, with strict security in place.
