Following the success of his previous release, Vha Songo Nyama, featuring renowned songstress Mickeyblack, Mulaudzi Tee Jay is back with a new hit: Mmawe.
Released on 17 October, the single is already winning over music lovers. For this track, Mulaudzi collaborated with international star Jon Delinger, as well as local talents Thereal Tee and Emjayeyz. The production was handled by the young and talented Thereal Tee.
Mulaudzi continues his tradition of delivering songs with meaningful messages. "Mmawe is about the struggles and survival of rural communities. It tells the story of people leaving home to travel to faraway towns in search of work, just to earn a piece of bread to feed their families," he explained.
Written by Mulaudzi himself, the song reflects the daily hardships of rural life, including unemployment, poverty, and economic challenges. "It is inspired by the reality of how hard our people work just to make a living," he added.
Beyond highlighting struggles, Mmawe carries a message of hope. According to Mulaudzi, it reminds disadvantaged communities that, no matter how tough things are now, one day God will open doors.
Mulaudzi began his musical journey in 2021 with the release of his debut album, Mafula. Earlier this year, in March, he teamed up again with Mickeyblack to release the refreshing amapiano gospel single, Songo Nyama. With Mmawe, he continues to prove that his music resonates deeply with audiences while carrying powerful, uplifting messages.
