With most of the teams campaigning under the banner of the SAFA Vhembe Regional League left with fewer than five matches to complete their league programme, the race for the championship and to avoid relegation remains wide open.
The race for promotion in Stream H is between Musina All Stars and Berea FC. Musina All Stars are leading the pack with 72 points, with Berea close behind on 70 points. Both sides have four matches left to complete their league programme.
Mukondeni Royal and Mashamba Soccer Academy are the main contenders for the Stream G title, with 66 and 65 points respectively. Both teams have three matches remaining.
Ntsemi FC must win at least three of their four remaining matches to be crowned Stream A champions. Ntsemi are currently top of the log with 71 points, three ahead of Magomani All Zones.
In Stream D, three teams — Ndiitwani Shooting Stars, Shilumani Trading Academy and Vhembe Tron — are battling for the championship. Shooting Stars are top of the log with 82 points from 33 matches, while Shilumani and Vhembe are second and third with 74 points each. Shilumani and Vhembe have played one match fewer than Shooting Stars.
ABC FC have been dominant in Stream I and are yet to lose a league match this season. They lead the stream with 93 points from 33 matches.
In Stream J, Basel FC and Tshamutilikwa Fire Boys are competing for promotion.
Although Eagles United Stars are leading Stream G, they are likely to surrender the lead before the end of the season, as the teams still have 10 matches to play before completing their league programme.
