The 44-year-old owner of the Limpopo River Lodge at Musina, Mr Eric Libert, was arrested on Thursday last week, after the SAPS recovered four suspected stolen motor vehicles locked in garages at the lodge.

He appeared in court last Friday and was released on R10 000 bail. He will have to appear in court again on February 17.

On Monday this week, a second suspect, a 30-year-old male, was arrested at Beit Bridge.

Members of the SAPS Provincial Operational Response Service, together with members of the SAPS Crime Intelligence Gathering Unit, acted on information received and recovered a Toyota Corolla, Mercedes Benz, BMW and a Toyota Hilux bakkie, with a combined estimated value of R587 000 at the lodge. It was later established that these vehicles were hijacked in and around Gauteng.

The investigation continues.
