MCT Napoli FC were crowned 2025 champions of the Rogers Tshivhase Soccer Tournament at the Jack Lavhengwa Sports Grounds in Khalavha last Saturday, beating Tshivhilidulu Green Mambas 3-1 in the final.

Napoli received R10,000, a floating trophy and gold medals, while Green Mambas took home R5,000 and silver medals. Semi-finalists Mandala Young Vultures and Fondwe Mighty Blues each received R1,500.

Local traditional leader Musanda Vho-Miriyavhavha Tshivhase said the tournament was held in remembrance of the late Rogers Tshivhase, former chairperson of the Limpopo Youth Commission and chief whip of the Thulamela Local Municipality, who passed away in 2017 after a short illness.

Floyd Tshivhase, one of the organisers, said the tournament would become an annual event, with sponsorship and the number of participating teams set to increase. Next year, the tournament will expand from four to eight teams.
