Ngwenani Manchester United are still in a celebratory mood after beating Mavunde Hungry Vultures 1-0 in their quarterfinal match of the MTG and PIB KO competition at the Khubvi Benjies grounds on Sunday.

Hungry Vultures used their height advantage to win the aerial balls in the middle of the park, while United battled to play their normal carpet football.

Vultures threatened to score in the 16th minute. Their right winger, Khathutshelo Mutavhatsindi, unfortunately shot wide from inside the box. United missed a fortune as well moments thereafter. Their diminutive striker, Takalani Ratshitanga, went loose from the left corner and unleashed a ground cutter from the edge of the box. The ball went a little wide.

The goal that secured a place for Manchester in the semifinal stage of the competition came in the 36th minute. Ronetshedzwa Nemavhola beat the keeper with a close-range rocket.

Vultures strengthened their striking force by introducing Alukhwathi Mbedzi for Fhatuwani Mathavha in the 54th minute.

The only change Manchester United made to their starting 11 was when they replaced Mmboniseni Mukondeleli with Aluwani Tshivhase in the 78th minute. Talifhani Nemusula of Hungry Vultures was warned with a card two minutes later, following a continued argument with the referee.
