The National First Division log leaders, Baroka FC, went to the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa with the hope that they would go back to Polokwane with full points last Saturday, but that was not to be. Instead, they played to a 2-2 draw.

Although the home side, Highlands Park, were two goals up when the referee blew the half-time whistle, Baroka did not throw in the towel. Highlands Park opened their account in the 14th minute via Muzi Thabotha, while Peter Shalulile scored the second three minutes before half time. Baroka were awarded a penalty in the 67th minute after Thabiso Kutumela was brought down within the box. Kutumela got up and converted from the white spot.

Highlands Park started to play defensive football thereafter.

Realizing that they had everything to lose if they stopped attacking, Baroka invaded the opposition's territory, giving their defenders no time to breathe. Kutumela scored the equalizer on the stroke of full time to ensure that Baroka travel back to Polokwane with a single point in hand.

FC Cape Town moved out of the relegation zone, following their 2-1 victory over Witbank Spurs at the NNK Rugby Stadium in Cape Town. Lucky Nguzana struck a brace for the home side, while the visitors from eMalahleni pulled one back through Cleopas Dube later in the game.

Back home, Black Leopards beat Royal Eagles 1-0 at the Thohoyandou Stadium, thanks to Ruggert Nyundu's 75th minute header.

Moroka Swallows were the hardest hit. They lost 0-5 to Milano United at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. Mbombela United held Santos to a 1-1 draw at the Kanyamazane Stadium, while Cape Town All Stars beat Thanda Royal Zulu 1-0 at the Cape Town Stadium. Mthatha Bucks drew 0-0 with African Warriors.
