Ladzani Primary School's music teacher and well-known recording artist Thiathu "Ninja" Netshikweta will be releasing his fourth album early next month.

Ladzani Primary School's music teacher and well-known recording artist Thiathu "Ninja" Netshikweta will be releasing his fourth album early next month.

The soft-spoken musician from Ha-Makhuvha village, who is regarded as one of the best lead guitarists in the country today, cut his teeth in the music industry when he released his debut album Ndo bva Tshirunzi in 2010. The album was well received by music lovers in the country.

"I was surprised by the way people reacted to the album. The support I received from music lovers encouraged me to record my second album, called Muthu wanga wa Africa, two years later," he said.

His third album, Thili Mbilu, was recorded in 2018.

When asked why he took so long to release albums, as he had last recorded an album in 2018, he said he did not just release an album for the sake of money, but it had to contain a message to music lovers in the country.

"As a professional teacher, it is also my duty to educate the nation through music. On my next album, there is also a message to the youth to concentrate more on their education to become educated future leaders," he said.

He concluded by saying that as he also taught art at school, most of his students, including girls, could also play the guitar with aplomb. "I want to leave an incredible impact and a legacy when I am no longer in this world. Apart from recording my music, I would also love to produce more musicians for the future," he said.
